BLS Healthcare Provider (HCP)

The Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Course is a 4 hour course designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Intended Audience:           

Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.

Card Type: Course Completion Card valid for 2 years

Written/Skills Exam: Required for completion card

Course Requirements:
A current AHA Healthcare Provider textbook
Initial Certification Cost: $80.00

Renewal Cost $60.00 Current CPR card required; If not current- Initial Certification required

Heartsaver CPR   

The Heartsaver CPR course is a 4 hour course designed to meet the needs of the general public and to provide up-to-date comprehensive training in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and Choking. Students also learn how to operate a public access Automated External Defibrillation (AED).

Note: This CPR class will NOT meet the requirements for the Healthcare Professional (nurses, doctors, EMTs, or Paramedics or those who are getting a job in the healthcare field). Those who work or want to work in the medical field need the Healthcare Provider (BLS) CPR course.

Heartsaver First Aid
The Heartsaver First Aid course is a 4 hour course that will enable students to be able to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. Topics covered include - bandaging and splinting, wound care, environmental emergencies, use of an epi-pen, bites and  strains.

Cost:  $60

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel or do not attend the session you registered for, you forfeit the entire course fee. We do not give any refunds.

Rescheduling Policy
You may reschedule only once. With more than 7 days notice the rescheduling fee is $10. With 7 days or less days notice, the rescheduling fee is one-half the course fee. Failure to appear in class or day of class notice - will result in forfeiture of your entire course fee. There are no refunds.
